On Love + Green Flags
Before I completely switch gears to spring content, I wanted to share one last cheerful winter outfit with you, dear readers. It’s no surprise that I absolutely love dressing for the occasion, to match my setting, and this colorful LOVE mural in Princeton is no exception. I took these photos in February, the month of love, but this joyful art wall remains one of my favorites to date – and I think rather amplifies a topic that is relevant all year long. We often hear about red flags in people – you know, the traits we find toxic to be around. But what about green flags? Inspired by Molly Burford’s list on this subject, I wanted to jot down a few green flags – the kinds that make you trust someone, that make you feel alive, happy, and loved – that I personally love to celebrate in others.
Those who aren’t afraid to apologize. Truthful at heart. The ones who you can reunite with even after a long time apart and it feels like you’ve never skipped a beat. Wit and humor. Those who find joy in laughing. The ones who you know you can count on even if they’re busy. Lovers of small details and big dreams. Creators. Inventors. Curiosity seekers. Keepers of emotional intelligence. Kind eyes.
