I’ve always loved the idea of doing Christmas pictures at a tree farm, and this year I finally made it happen when NJ-based photographer Katy Firstov reached out to me about doing a holiday family mini session.

A life update: the baby of mine who I thought was going to be the last baby ended up not being the last baby. In the midst of the pandemic, our fourth baby – an oops baby – was born into our family, officially promoting child #3 to big brother status.

When a family crisis came up and we had to make an unexpected family trip to North Carolina last week, I barely had time to pack for myself, much less a family of five.

It’s that time of the summer when store aisles are stocked to the brim with No. 2 pencils, lined notebooks, and hand sanitizer.

Let’s be honest, it’s so much easier taking photos of your infant, than say a toddler on the go, or worse, a first grader who’s too cool for school.

You know those OOTDs that make you really excited for a specific reason? This is one of my favorites for fall. I’m mad about plaid this season!

It hit me this month that we really do not have much time before my oldest, Max, starts Kindergarten. Like, legit public school Kindergarten, which to me feels like a foray into the rest of adulthood.
