Why Coding Camp Was a Highlight of Our Summer

When summer rolled around this year, I knew I wanted a good mix of camps for my kids. Since sleepaway camps aren't really my thing, I always aim to sign them up for several week-long camps that balance outdoor activities with something to keep their minds sharp. That’s when I discovered Code Wiz in Plainsboro—a perfect fit, given their love for coding! Enrolling them in this camp wasn’t just about keeping them busy; it was about nurturing their passion for coding and video games while giving them a head start in a world increasingly driven by technology. My three kids spanned each of the different age groups, generally grouped by ages 7-9, 9-12, and 13+. At Code Wiz, students are encouraged to choose their own track or explore multiple tracks at once.

Through hands-on projects and engaging lessons, students are introduced to coding in a way that feels more like play than study. But it's not all about screens and keyboards. Code Wiz fosters a welcoming community where kids can make friends, collaborate on projects, and build confidence in their abilities. The supportive environment encourages students to push their boundaries, knowing that making mistakes is just part of the learning process.
