Holiday Dressing in Red Leopard

This season sequins and sparkle take a backseat to luxe jewel tones and muted animal prints, and this red leopard dress from Reformation merrily ticks off both boxes. It comes in five colors and prints, but I’m wearing it in Wildcat (rrrrrrr!) which is a fun, festive alternative to traditional holiday prints. It’s supposed to be a midi length dress but I’m no model, and at 5’1”, it wears as a maxi dress on me. I don’t mind the extra length though, especially because this dress is no wallflower – it features a high slit and a small back cut-out for a subtly sexy statement.

If you’re looking for holiday party style that’s a little more spiked eggnog than traditional, this Reformation red leopard dress will have all eyes on you. You’ll be a hit under the mistletoe when you pair with sparkly earrings and a tailored menswear inspired jacket. Or dress it down with a leather moto jacket for an everyday holiday look, too.

These photos were taken in Charleston, South Carolina, where we spent Thanksgiving. How dreamy is this Spanish moss? All the grand oak trees at Magnolia Plantation and Garden were literally dripping in this delicate airy moss. Graceful old trees like these are meant for draping yourself on, am I right?
